Dr. William July, Ph.D. (Owner)
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. July is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in psychological testing and assessment. He is also credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. In addition to being a psychologist he has been a nationally best-selling relationship author of four books from Doubleday. He also wrote a textbook chapter on Personality in a Psychology textbook published by Pearson. Prior to becoming a psychologist, he had an exciting and interesting life. His background includes having been an entrepreneur, psychology professor, and a police officer. In the past, he has been a regular guest expert for CNN, the Fox News Channel, and the Great Day Houston Show. Dr. July earned a doctorate (PhD) in Psychology at Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Elsie Burgos, M.S., LPA

Elsie Burgos is a licensed psychological associate in the state of Texas with experience in mental health (children and adult) and forensic evaluations. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Elsie received her BA in science and MA in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico.  She has experience in community mental health clinics, outpatient settings with special needs children, and in the past couple of years has worked for the probation and corrections department as a forensic clinician. She is fully proficient in Spanish and English.

Teresa Flores, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Consulting Clinician

Teresa Flores LCSW is a licensed mental health professional in the state of Texas with over 20 years experience in mental health (children and families), social work/healthcare, legal, immigration and Latino issues advocacy, adoption and aging population. Teresa received her BA in psychology from the University of St. Thomas and MSW from the University of Houston.  Her diverse professional and personal experiences bring a unique and global perspective in working with clients and families.  She was born in Dallas but was raised by immigrant parents from Mexico and Cuba. She is fully proficient in Spanish and English. Her strong and diverse work experience includes MHMRA, Mentor Inc, Spaulding for Children, M.D.Anderson Cancer Center, Vericare, and other organizations.

Daye Veltri

Daye Veltri, MS, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Daye Veltri is Licensed Professional Counselor. Daye provides a warm and safe environment for clients with a compassionate, understanding, and non-judgmental attitude. She is motivated to help people gain insight into their lives and present-day problems and evaluate patterns that develop over time. She focuses on emotions, thoughts, early-life experiences, beliefs, and on the here-and-now to increase the client’s awareness. She works with people facing different issues, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, parenting, grief, and loss and she has conducted group therapy to patients suffering from a major depressive disorder, trauma, addiction, sexual abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, suicidal and homicidal ideation. Dr. Stephanie Rodriguez-Morales, Psy.D., LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Dr. Stephanie Rodriguez-Morales earned a doctoral degree (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology at Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico. Dr. Rodriguez-Morales has experience providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy as well as conducting psychological evaluations. She has formal training and experience with adults and children with diverse traumatic experiences, such as intimate partner violence, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. She provides treatment for trauma-related disorders, complex trauma, dissociative disorder, and depressive, anxiety, and behavioral disorders. Dr. Rodriguez-Morales is trained in EMDR, Internal Family System (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT),Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Through her “here-and-know” interventions, Dr. Rodriguez-Morales focuses on the person’s strength as well as the interaction between biological, cognitive, cultural, social, and spiritual factors that impact the person’s life. She provides a non-judgemental space for you to feel safe and heard. In addition to being a psychotherapist, Dr. Rodriguez-Morales developed a trauma specialization course for doctoral students and has taught counseling courses as an adjunct professor. Dr. Rodriguez-Morales is fully proficient in Spanish and English.


Dr. Maria Elena Torres, Ph.D.

Dr. Maria E. Torres, PhD is a graduate student from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Her clinical experience includes psychotherapy and psychological evaluations for adults, adolescents and children.  The intervention models most used by Maria are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy. She offers psychotherapy treatment for several conditions such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, substance abuse, psychotic disorders and other chronic conditions. She has also provided psychological treatment for domestic violence and sexual assault victims. Maria offers individual therapy and support in immigration case processes as well.

Maria’s experience also includes the administration and interpretation of psychological tests. She has also completed psychological evaluations for forensic purposes in many types of immigration reports (I-601, VAWA, UVISA, etc.).  Maria is proficient in English and Spanish.

Juan Carlos has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Lamar University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.  Juan Carlos believes that life is wonderfully complicated and brings a series of experiences, emotions and lessons that can be overwhelming. He has learned through his own life experience how struggles can open a door to a deeper and better understanding of oneself.  Juan Carlos focuses on creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment and providing clients with the tools necessary to make meaningful changes by using a diverse set of counseling techniques tailored to meet individual needs.  Juan Carlos is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas with years of experience working with adults involved in the criminal justice system.  He has worked in child welfare, established an interactive program as a Fatherhood Engagement Specialist, and currently provides mental health services to immigrant children seeking reunification with family in the United States

Dr. Kayla Jonhson

Dr. Kayla M. Johnson, Ph.D.  

Licensed Psychologist 

Dr. Kayla M. Johnson is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas. She received her doctorate degree in counseling psychology from Texas A&M University (APA-accredited) in 2018. Her graduate research focused on adapting empirically-supported therapeutic interventions for use with racial and ethnic minorities. Dr. Johnson has an extensive history of working with college students and people from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds. She served as the staff psychologist at Prairie View A&M University, a historically Black university, from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, she completed her post-doctoral internship at Texas A&M Student Counseling Services from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Johnson also enjoys collaborating with communities of faith in underserved communities to combat the stigma associated with mental illness through workshops and presentations. 

Roland Pena

Rolando Pena, MS, NCC

Rolando is an LPC-Associate and National Certified Counselor. He graduated from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of St. Thomas in 2022. Rolando was born in Mexico and completed K-12 education in Texas. He attended Georgetown University in Washington DC, studied abroad in Italy, and lived in Germany.  Rolando is committed to, and recognizes, the importance of cultural diversity. He is passionate about social justice and working with people of all ethnicities, genders, and sexualities. He has treated people with varying symptoms and conditions—such as PTSD, generalized anxiety, grief, and relationship difficulties. Additionally, he has co-led a support group for LGBTQ+ people. Rolando also has experience working with men's issues.

Rolando operates primarily from a dialectical-behavior perspective because he believes it is essential to view concerns from multiple perspectives, considering how different thoughts, emotions, or life situations influence your experience of a concern, all while acknowledging the physical realities of how our human organism responds to different stimuli. He also integrates existentialism into his counseling. Rolando speaks English, Spanish, Italian, and German


Monica Zelaya, PsyD

Licensed Professional Counselor & Licensed Psychologist Provisional Trainee

Monica Zelaya is Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate. She is currently earning a Clinical Psychology doctoral degree (Psy.D.) from California Southern University. Ms. Zelaya has worked in a variety of mental health settings, providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient and immigration shelter settings. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of behavioral, emotional, and relational issues. She also has experience working with persons of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, sexual orientation, and religious backgrounds. She provides individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is fully proficient in Spanish and English.


Michelle Munever, LPA

Licensed Psychological Associate

Bilingual: English-Spanish

Michelle Munevar received her B.S. in psychology from Wichita State University in Kansas and her M.S. in psychology from the APA-accredited graduate program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She completed her practicum at San Marcos Treatment Center, which concentrated on psychometric training with the administration and analysis of educational, objective personality, and neuropsychological assessments to residential patients in a clinical setting. Through her work in the psychometric field, she gained clinical and assessment experience with traumatic brain injury, psycho-educational, DSM clinical disorders, and neurobehavioral disorders with youth and adult populations in both clinical and forensic settings. She is proficient in administering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative assessments that look to measure intellectual, academic, objective personality traits, and neuropsychological variables in both English and Spanish. She is a Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of Texas.


Dr. Jo Ann Formby, PsyD 

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Jo Ann Formby is a licensed clinical psychologist and has over 25 years experience in the mental health field. She earned a doctoral degree (PsyD) in clinical psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology/Biola University in Southern California. Dr. Formby has considerable experience providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy as well as doing psychological and neurocognitive testing. Her specializations include treatment of depression, anxiety, grief, and history of trauma. She also specializes in and has a passion for working with those with medical conditions and physical disabilities, assisting them in adjusting to and managing the mental health challenges that can accompany physical illness. Through her experience providing psychological services to a wide variety of populations, as well as her personal experience of life with a physical disability, Dr. Formby is well-attuned to the interaction of mind, body, emotional, and spiritual factors that can influence one’s daily life and sense of wellbeing. She is versed in therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and interpersonal process therapies.

Dr. Formby has considerable experience supervising and training clinicians who are entering the field of psychology. She was an adjunct professor at Houston Baptist University, teaching courses in psychological assessment, theories of counseling, and group psychotherapy. She is a member of the Texas Psychological Association and the Fort Bend Psychological Association.


Juanita Martinez

Office Manager
Bilingual: English-Spanish

Juanita has several years of experience as a health care office professional. She earned her Certified Medical Assistant designation at the Coleman College for Health Sciences of the Houston Community College. Juanita graduated Waltrip High School where she was a member of the JROTC. On weekends she is a proud and enthusiastic soccer mom.
